The Nokia N97 is a phone which offers alternatives and options to its user. Nokia presents the latest N lines with the N86 8MP which comes fully with features that you will use to keep informed, stay entertained and keep in touch. Nokia N86 is a slider based phone that measures 103.4x51.4x16.5mm and weights 149g. The screen on this camera phone is 2.6 inches and a 320x240 QVGA screen with 16 million colours. It also integrates an Active Matrix OLED technology with ambient light detector, orientation sensor and brightness control.

The power management on the N86 has a standby of 363 hours for the WCDMA and for GSM is also 363 hours. Talk time will be VoIP rated at 11 hours; GSM will have 6.9 and WCDMA of 4.5 hours. You also have video playback time of 7 hours for VGA. Music playback will equal 30 hours total. Included is a browsing time of 7 hours and 3 hours of video call and recording. The battery is impressive as for a Smartphone, the more powerful a battery is, the better the user experience will be. Memory capacity is 8GB for the phone with 16 GB for Micro SD card support. For frequency, Nokia N86 uses a quad band network. Connectivity includes Bluetooth, WLAN, USB and also has GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA and GPRS for data classification.

Nokia provides you with a wide range of application in the N86. These programs will include, Adobe Flash, Java, Adobe Reader, Quick Office, Zip manager, Windows Live support, Nokia photos, download, N-Gage as well as Nokia Mobile search. The operating system is a Symbian OS which is more stable and comfortable then the S40 version. For time management systems, you have the following: reminders, clock, and converter, calendar, written notes and to do list. For navigation, the N86 comes with GPS and Nokia Maps supported. ForMusic lovers, you just can't miss Nokia N86. Included are an FM radio, Nokia Music Manager and Player as well as Music Store support and podcasting support. The music player can support many formats including eAAC+, WMA, MP3, AAC and eAAC. Audio streaming is also included. The player also sports equalizer and playlists as well as graphics display and skins. Stereo Speakers, ringtones and 3D sound effects come standard. Voice and audio recording include text to speech, audio recording formats of WAW, AAC stereo and AMR with voice recorder and dialing. Email and messaging support includes SMTP, IMAP and POP 3 for email, MMS, SMS and IM support.

Finally it comes to the 8MP camera which ranks first among the Nokia mobile phones and it will please you with the features that it contains such as an 8 Megapixel camera with a resolution of 3264x2448 and also contains a Carl Zeiss optics lens with 20x digital zoom and image formats of EXIF and JPEG. Autofocus and a dual LED flash with wide exposure range. Included are 28mm wide angle optics, and a high speed shutter with panorama, still, self timer, sequence and video capture modes. The scene modes are sport, automatic, and close up, landscape, night, user defined and portrait. Colour tones include vivid, normal, sepia, negative and black and white.

Photo editor is on board as well as a rotating gallery, TV out, and direct printing. You can record videos at 30fps with VGA quantity with the video camera. The front camera records at 353x288 pixels and 15 fps with a 2x digital zoom. The formats accepted are 3GP and MP4 as well as AAC stereo and AMR audio recording. Also included is a Real Player with a click length of 1.3 hours. There are several modes for video playback such as MP4, H.264, 3GP and H.263. You can see immediately why this phone is the next in line for the Nokia N crown.
